Dr Eleanor King MBChB, BSc, DPD, DCH
Eleanor studied medicine at the University of Leeds where she was awarded her medical degree with Honours. She attained her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners after training with The Royal Free Hospital and continues to work as a GP and dermatology associate in London.
She appreciates the importance of evidence based medicine having achieved a first class BSc in Clinical Sciences, from which she learnt how to critique the evidence to optimise her medical practice and help patients to make an informed choice about their treatment. Eleanor has trained with the British Menopause Society and she also has a special interest in dermatology having attained the Diploma of Practical Dermatology with distinction.
Eleanor has a keen understanding of the many factors which can impact on a woman’s physical and emotional wellbeing. Treating patients in General Practice has given her insight into how neglected the menopause and hormonal imbalance are as a cause of symptoms and ill health. Experience at the London Hormone Clinic has shown how effective, research informed treatment can transform women’s lives.
Through her work as a GP at a health and wellbeing centre and her own personal practice, Eleanor has an interest in preventative medicine and can advise patients on how they can achieve optimal physical and mental health through diet, exercise and mindfulness.
By taking the time to understand every patient’s unique situation and priorities Eleanor tailors the best care for the individual.
